October 10, 2017 –  Before writing a narrative or expository essay, it is very important to brainstorm.   Brainstorming allows you to think of all of the ideas that come across your mind and write them down without committing to them.  It also allows you to sift through all of them and eliminate the ones you don’t want.   Once you’ve narrowed down your list to about four or five, you can begin planning out your paper.  The nice thing about it too is that even though you may be in the paper-planning/rough draft process, you can still continue to brainstorm if necessary.   Brainstorming is great, because it gives you a lot of creative freedom.
